A 'Zhongyu' Freight Train from Zhengzhou to Ulan Ude Launched
Sounding a long whistle, a China-Europe freight train named Zhongyu (Zhongyu is a name for all China-Europe freight trains depart from Central China's Henan province) carrying paper-making equipment and additives left Zhengzhou city of Henan province for Ulan Ude of Russia via Erenhot Port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on September 11, marking not only the expanded coverage of Zhongyu China-Europe freight trains, but also a new step of such freight trains in serving Henan's high-level opening-up.

With rich forest resources, Russia is one of the main importers of paper pulp in China. The equipment on the train, mainly for the upgrading of paper-making machines, is bound to boost Russia's pulp and paper industry. Besides, the new route provides a safe, stable and convenient international logistics channel for the economic and trade exchanges between China and Russia in the aspect of transport efficiency, and a new option to stablize the exports of foreign trade enterprises whereby the role of China-Europe freight trains in promoting the stability of international logistics supply chains is further played the role of China-Europe freight trains in promoting the stability of international logistics supply chains.
The number of China-Europe freight trains (Zhongyu · Zhengzhou) has jumped from 13 in 2013 to 1,508 in 2021, standing at the forefront of China. Now, they have realized a kind of high-frequency operation mode featuring 16 departs and 18 returns, with an international logistics network featuring multiple destinations and ports and a "1+N" logistics hub system built to help smooth the international logistics corridors linking Zhengzhou with Europe, Central Asia, the ASEAN countries, Japan and South Korea, hence the realization of diversity and wide coverage of the railway network. Besides, their overseas businesses have covered more than 130 cities in over 30 countries in the EU, Central Asia, Russia and the Asia-Pacific region with more than 6,000 partners at home and abroad.
