Local Tours Popular Among Stay-put People
As people are encouraged to stay put during spring festivals, the demographic dividend of Central China's Henan province has been fully released to greatly boost the tourism industry. During the seven-day holiday, Henan received 34.0068 million tourists with an increase of 5.87 percent year-on-year, and saw its tourism revenue reaching 14.759 billion yuan, recovering to 81.86 percent of the same period last year, said the Department of Culture and Tourism of Henan Province on February 17.
During the holiday, 451 A-level scenic areas across Henan were open as usual with 225 offering free or discount tickets. In Kaifeng, light show on the ancient walls became a hit on the internet. At the Longmen Grottoes, the Chinese characters "龙门福道" (Road to Good Fortune) composed of ten thousand red lanterns was amazing. The activities, such as Hanfu show, Pangu dance and shadow play, at the Yuntai Mountain, Mangdang Mountain, Baoquan Tourist Resort Area, Laojun Mountain, etc., were really kicking. The Shehuo performances at the Xunxian ancient city helped the tourists feel the flavor of home.
New and high-quality tourism products were also well-received. Jianye & H·Brothers Movie Town, Enjoy·Land Enjoy International Resort, Zhengzhou Fanta Wild Adventure, Zhengzhou Cherry Valley Scenic Area, etc., were hot. And some hot spring or ski resorts also received increasing numbers of visitors.
