Henan Foreign Trade Reaches 377.13 Billion Yuan in First 3Q
News from Zhengzhou Customs on October 28 -- Over the first 9 months this year, Henan’s total import and export value grew up 2.4 percent year-on-year to 377.13 billion yuan. Ranking 13th in China, its growth rate was 1.7 percentage points higher than the national average.

In the first three quarters, the private enterprises and the state-owned ones in Henan experienced positive growth in terms of import and export volume, said a source of Zhengzhou Customs. To be specific, the import and export value of private, foreign-invested and state-owned enterprises increased 8.2 percent to 131.59 billion yuan (accounting for 34.9 percent of the provincial total volume), declined 1.3 percent to 20.94 billion yuan (accounting for 55.5 percent of the provincial total volume) and up 1.5 percent to 33.58 billion yuan.
Judging from the data provided by Zhengzhou Customs, Henan’s trade with the EU (excluding the UK) increased more than 40 percent, with the US still maintaining its largest trade partner. Export products of labor-intensiveness registered double-digit growth, of which mobile phone became Henan’s largest export item. Besides, the import value of resources products also remained rapid increasing, of which integrated circuits topped other import products.
Judging from the data of each prefecture-level city, Zhengzhou contributed to nearly 70 percent of Henan’s total import and export volume, followed by Jiyuan. In Henan’s foreign trade, in the first 9 months, 12 prefecture-level cities in Henan achieved positive growth and 7 prefecture-level cities registered double-digit growth.
