Henan to Hold the 4th GCEC from September 22 to 24
Under the global COVID-19 pandemic, how will cross-border e-commerce businesses look for fresh opportunities in the crisis and open up new prospects in the changeable environment? How will Central China’s Henan province accelerate the establishment of the “dual circulation” development pattern by boosting its Online Silk Road? On the afternoon of September 14, the Information Office of Henan Provincial People’s Government held a news conference to mainly introduce the general arrangements for the 4th Global Cross-border E-commerce Conference (the 4th GCEC) to the public and answer questions from journalists.

According to Gao Xiang, head of the General Office of the 4th GCEC Organizing Committee, and a member of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Henan Provincial Department of Commerce and the Department’s deputy director-general, the 4th GCEC will be held in Zhengzhou from September 22 to 24. Sponsored by Henan Provincial Department of Commerce, Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government, Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce, Chinese International Electronic Commerce Center and China Association of Trade in Service, the 4th GCEC, with the theme “Opportunities and Challenges for Cross-Border E-Commerce Businesses under the Global COVID-19 Pandemic”, is scheduled to host an opening ceremony, a summit forum (Zhengzhou) for Silk Road e-commerce international cooperation, a China cross-border e-commerce forum for 50 people, 2 parallel forums, and various live streaming activities on well-known cross-border e-commerce platforms. During the event, the trend of global cross-border e-commerce industry will be discussed so as to build a world-renowned, high-end and targeted platform for exchange and cooperation among global cross-border e-commerce businesses, keep promoting innovation in cross-border e-commerce industry and achieve high-quality development.
It is reported that around 500 participants will attend the 4th GCEC, including the officials from the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation, the World Trade Organization, the World Customs Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other international organizations, representatives of the G20 and the embassies and consulates of countries along the “Belt and Road”, heads of relevant national ministries and commissions, representatives of other comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce in China, senior executives and representatives of foreign and domestic well-known cross-border e-commerce platforms and enterprises specialized in supply chains, logistics, financial services and foreign trade. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, international guests will attend the meeting in the form of prerecorded videos.
据了解，本届大会总体规模控制在500人左右。邀请联合国南南合作办公室、世界贸易组织、世界海关组织、上海合作组织等国际组织相关负责人，G20及“一带一路”沿线国家驻华使领馆代表，国家相关部委负责人，国内其他跨境电子商务综合试验区代表，境内外知名跨境电子商务平台、供应链、物流、金融服务、外贸综合服务等企业高管和代表等领导嘉宾将参加会议。受疫情影响，国外嘉宾将采取录制视频的形式参会。（中文来源/大河网 记者/申华 翻译/赵汉青 审校/张玉红）
