Puyang Opens a Sea-Rail Combined Transport Line, Becoming a New Channel in Henan Province to Connect the “Maritime Silk Road”
On the morning of January 8, with a sound of the siren, the first “Zhongyuan” train left Puyang East Station connecting Shanxi-Henan-Shandong railway passage and headed for Tianjin Port, becoming a new channel in Henan province to connect the "Maritime Silk Road".
The “Zhongyuan” train starts from Puyang, goes north by the Beijing-Lowloon railway, passes Cangzhou and finally arrives at Tianjin Port. At present, it operates one to two classes every week, planning to operate in a regular and intensive way in the future. “This is the first sea-rail combined line in North Henan and even in the intersection area of Henan, Shandong and Hebei.” According to the person from Puyang Commerce Bureau, “It will play a strong role in attracting and gathering foreign trade goods from the provinces of Henan, Shandong and Hebei, and accelerate the integration of the region into the international freight support system.”

As a pilot project of Puyang's "waterless port" construction, the "Zhongyuan" train has changed the single mode of international cargo transportation and opened up a new channel for cargo transportation in Puyang and its surrounding areas.
Puyang Longfeng Paper Co., LTD exported 200 tons of high-grade writing paper to South Africa, becoming the first "passengers" of the "Zhongyuan" train. “Our annual 30,000 tons of cultural paper are sold to more than 40 countries and regions through Tianjin Port. After the opening of the train, the import and export efficiency can be greatly improved, the transit link can be reduced, and the operation cost can be lowered.” Xu Changning, the general manager of the company, expressed excitedly
